HOUSTON- For over twenty years, Park Plaza Hospital has been dedicated to continuing an active role promoting the health in the community. In partnership with the Tenet Healthcare Foundation a $5,000 donation has been made on behalf of Park Plaza Hospital to the United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast.

"Our commitment to the health of our community extends beyond quality healthcare services," said Lex Guinn, President & Chief Executive Officer of Park Plaza Hospital. "We are dedicated to supporting local organizations and playing an active role in the community."

With a vision to be recognized as a leader of nonprofit health and human service organizations, United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast funds over 250 programs provided by over 80 affiliated agencies. From programs that provide meals for senior citizens to after school programs for youth, United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast distributes funds to programs that serve families and individuals.

Since 1975, Park Plaza Hospital has been a major provider of health care services in the community. With more than 800 physicians on staff and more than 1,000 hospital employees, health care professionals are able to meet the needs of patients in a variety of medical and surgical specialties.
