HOUSTON – (January 2011) – Park Plaza Hospital and Medical Center, part of the Tenet Texas Healthcare network, is pleased to announce the appointment of three new physicians, Dr. Emmanuel Agoh, Dr. Jose Aguirre and Dr. Saul Torres Jr., to its family medicine practice.

Prior to joining the hospital, Dr. Agoh completed his internship and residency in family medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He also served as a House Officer within the Nigerian Military Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria. Dr. Agoh is a member of the Nigerian Medical and Dental Association, the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Aguirre joins Park Plaza after completing his residency at Houston’s Methodist Hospital, where he participated on the Care Management/Performance Improvement Medicine Committee to develop a quality improvement project to help prevent osteoporosis in post-menopausal women. Fluent in Spanish, he served as an attending physician for several clinics and hospitals in Colombia prior to his tenure at Methodist Hospital. Dr. Aguirre is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Prior to joining Park Plaza, Dr. Torres completed his residency in family medicine at Houston’s Methodist Hospital, where he was a co-coordinator of the hospital’s Reach Out and Read program, as well as a member of the Infection Control Panel and Committee for Performance Improvement. He is also a member of the Texas Medical Association and Harris County Association of Family Practitioners.
