Park Plaza Hospital’s Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) unit is a dedicated program, specifically designed for the needs of aging patients. Located on the 9th floor of the hospital, the ACE unit’s skilled staff is highly trained in caring for elderly patients, with treatment focused on a shorter length of stay and keeping patients functional and ambulatory to prevent the physical decline that older adults often experience in a traditional hospital setting.

The ACE unit rooms are designed to allow patients to rest in comfort and spend important recovery time with friends and loved ones. The unit is designed for maximum comfort and ease, including lower beds, bed and chair alarms and a lounge for socializing. The ACE unit also features a Special Care Room with 24-hour observation and care for patients with dementia, acute delirium or other afflictions that require extra attention.
