The goal of the Acute Care for the Elderly unit is to provide expert geriatric care with high quality service in a comfortable environment. Patients admitted to the ACE unit will have access to dedicated treatment and features like:
• Multidisciplinary staff of geriatric treatment specialists
• 24-hour Special Care Room
• Private rooms for increased comfort and independence
• Nutritionist guidance for special dietary selections
• Physical and occupational therapists
• Bedside bladder scanning
• Extra steps to decrease potential infections
• Increased focus on mobility and ambulation
• Focus on socialization with family, friends and other patients
• Lounge for socializing and other activities
• Unrestricted visitation – Families are welcome anytime!
